This is the fourth part in a multi-part series on Cybersecurity.

SOC 2 audits allow RunBuggy to ensure that our processes are functioning correctly, our control environment is strong, and that customer data is secure. All of this leads to SOC 2 certification, which RunBuggy was able to obtain in early 2022.

What exactly does this mean for you as the customer?

SOC 2 is also known as System and Organization control, and this certification comes with a multitude of benefits. RunBuggy’s SOC 2 certification enables us to have robust security assurance for our clients, long-term cost savings and loss prevention, added protection from reputational damage, and streamlined regulatory compliance efforts.

Let’s take a closer look at these benefits.

Robust Security Assurance for Clients

SOC 2 Type 2 audits are in-depth processes that offer unparalleled insight into RunBuggy’s security controls. Extensive evaluations conducted by the auditing body allow us to stay on top of our security. These evaluations test both the design and the upkeep of our security controls over an extended period. Thanks to these evaluations, we exceed auditing standards. As a RunBuggy customer, you can rest assured that your data is safe and secure within the RunBuggy platform.

Long-term Cost Savings and Loss Prevention

In 2021, an average data breach costs companies $4.24 million dollars. 38% of this cost accounts for business that is lost due to reputational damage from the data breach. SOC 2 audits can range from $20,000 to $80,000 depending on the size and complexity of the company, but we at RunBuggy feel that this is a very small price to pay for customers’ peace of mind.

Brand Reputation Protection

At RunBuggy, trust is a part of our foundation that we take extremely seriously. We’ve built our brand and our platform on our customers’ ability to trust us. With SOC 2 certification, we’ve ensured that both RunBuggy and our customers will not suffer as result of a data breach.

Streamlined Compliance Mapping

SOC 2 compliance is in accordance with AICPA, which is one of the industry’s highest standards. With our SOC 2 compliance, RunBuggy customers know that we are serious about protecting their data and believe in the robustness of the RunBuggy platform.

In part five of this multi-part series, we’ll focus on RunBuggy’s in-house penetration testing capabilities and why this is important to you as our customer.
