What is the difference between RunBuggy Marketplace and RunBuggy Hitch?

RunBuggy Marketplace provides shippers and haulers a platform to connect in order to move vehicles. RunBuggy Hitch is software that allows companies, in this case, Ally SmartAuction, the ability to centralize and manage their transportation. The two systems are separate and do not share any data.

What does joining Ally SmartAuction's Hitch environment cost?

Nothing. Transport partners are able to join and operate within Ally SmartAuction’s Hitch environment for free.

How do I get onto Ally SmartAuction’s RunBuggy network for the first time?

All Ally SmartAuction partner transport company contacts received an invitation link. Clicking this link will put you directly into your RunBuggy account view. If you need the link re-sent, please reach out to the Ally SmartAuction team.

How do I log onto RunBuggy after the first time?

RunBuggy has passwordless technology that allows users to enter in their email address and log on through a verification email link. If you select ‘I trust this device’ before logging on, the system will remember that device and it will streamline logins going forward.

How do I add my team to my RunBuggy Hitch account?

What are the differences between the accounts I can add?

Below is a description of each user type so you can add your team in the correct roles. These can be edited at any time:
Admin
• Admins able to view all aspects of the account
• Admins are able to add other admins
• Admins are able add users and drivers
• Admins are able to assign drivers to orders
• Admins are able to manually progress orders

User
• User accounts are able to assign orders to drivers
• User accounts are able to manually progress orders
• User accounts are NOT able to add other users to the company account
• User accounts are NOT able to add drivers to the company account

Driver
• Drivers are only able to login through the RunBuggy mobile app on their phones
• Drivers are able to progress orders through the app
• Drivers able to provide ETAs
• Drivers take pictures of the vehicles

Admin+Driver
• This account type has the capabilities of both Admin and Driver

User + Driver
• This account type has the capabilities of both User and Driver

How do my drivers access the RunBuggy Hitch system?

When you add a driver to your account, they will receive an invitation link in their email inbox. This link will prompt them to download the RunBuggy mobile app on their phone. Once they download the app, they can login using their email address

How will I see my Ally SmartAuction orders?

When an Ally SmartAuction order is created on a route that your company has won, you will see the order populate in the RunBuggy system. From there, it is the transport partner’s responsibility to assign a driver and get the vehicle moved using the RunBuggy mobile app.

Is Ally SmartAuction’s transport allocation process changing?

No, Ally SmartAuction is continuing to collect monthly bids for all lanes and selecting transportation partners for each lane. RunBuggy Hitch will not interfere with that process.

How will my company get paid for Ally SmartAuction orders?

RunBuggy Hitch does not impact the current payment process for Ally SmartAuction orders. Transportation partners will continue to be paid by the auction.

Why do my drivers need to use the RunBuggy mobile app?

Ally SmartAuction has selected RunBuggy Hitch as the software they want to use to track their transports. The RunBuggy mobile app gives transparency into what is happening with each vehicle.

How does my company join the RunBuggy Marketplace?

Transport companies are able to join the RunBuggy Marketplace by following this link: https://runbuggy.com/runbuggy-for-car-haulers/ and clicking on the ‘Sign up’ button in the top right corner. We will need some company documentation and contact information for you to fully onboard, but our team is there to make it as seamless as possible. IMPORTANT: Signing up for the RunBuggy Marketplace is NOT required to participate in the Ally SmartAuctionHitch environment, but the RunBuggy Marketplace is a great opportunity for your company to move more cars.
